Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the United States and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and serves as a SportsCenter anchor. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. This ability that allowed her to get her first position as a Univision producer assistant Miami. In Miami, she was a producer for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as a reporter for The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she relocated to Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Covering stories on trafficking in drugs and immigration on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she was a reporter on newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of the 9 p.m. newscast in English, and an anchor for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. She was also frequently called upon to be a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on other responsibilities. She did pieces on Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Aside from this she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She was appointed as the anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. She worked in the same position on Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd on the 22nd of October, 1985, in Mexico City. Her older sister is also hers. In 1992 the family left Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother got married to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. In June in 2006 she took an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she had a clear idea of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. In the end, she fell in love with the university. The university offered her major. After graduation, she attended the university with a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a part. They developed a close friendship. It was he who inspired her confidence, and his passion for Journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she was determined to exceed his expectations and never let him down.
