Azita Ghanizada
Azita Ghanizada has been the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television shows. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents fled to the US where they were granted asylum. The middle sister of her mother raised her in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on television by being featured in National Commercials. Ghanizada appeared as Chiara in Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). To commemorate this performance, she was nominated during the Festival of Cannes for Best Actress.
